Ford’s new Focus RS is about as close to a roadworthy, production rally car available. The new hot hatch has been generating quite the buzz, partly due to its tantalizing spec-sheet that includes more than 315 turbocharged horsepower and a new all-wheel-drive system with torque vectoring. Rally driver and precision driving all-star Ken Block took the pre-production Focus RS for a test drive, and Ford captured the hoonage on video.
Block discovers the car’s performance potential during his time he spend terrorizing the factory in which it will be built in Cologne, Germany. Known primarily for his viral online videos in which he canes his various rally cars around a city, closed course, or an amusement park, Ken does the same in this video, treating the Ford production plant like his personal rally course, tearing through the inner hallways of the factory in the new Ford Focus RS mule.
During the course of the video, we see the Focus RS demonstrating the all-new advanced all-wheel-drive system, performing smoky four-wheel drifts and precision maneuvers. At the end, Ken bursts into the live Ford Focus RS presentation and reveal, performing a few donuts and burnouts for the crowd.
